A perfume journey. For me the first blast is sweet lemon meringue, then on through turkish delight with a chocolatey note which becomes darker and earthier. The rose is lovely and spicy and deep by the drydown, and there are so many notes I can detect which are not actually there …lemon, chocolate, wine …. such interesting and clever blending. I've grown to really love this oil. It has deep warmth and honeyed sweetness, and is so comforting and longlasting, finally becoming powdery sweet after several hours as it trails away. Thus I have bought a 36ml bottle. The bottle is a little different to others I have bought, it has no pattern or jewel, and has no rollerball, but rather, a funnel, which makes using it rather messy and uncontrolled.

For the perfume, 5 stars ..... it's lovely, and a repeat order for me, but sadly the 36ml roll on bottle had a plastic funnel in it,not a roller, and leaked substantially into the bubble wrap. It was quite a mess sorting it out, and during the sortout I lost more oil, not realising the bottle needed to be upright. (I also ordered a 36ml Back to Black, which also had a plastic funnel and no rollerball, but thankfully this had not leaked. The bottles were also not like previous large roller bottles, but plain, and without the 'jewel'. This was not a huge concern, but the leaking and difficulty of use was.)

I do prefer the spicier edge in PP's version. It is a lovely autumnal scent.....but I am going to wear it whenever I want as it is so nice!!!!!

Elegant and expensive smelling. This is exactly like the one I remember and is suitable for day or evening wear. Absolutely lovely!!!
