A great scent, but I'm a little confused about this one; I did have a tester of Aventus and found it a very crisp, fruity (pineappley) frag with a soft woody drydown. This oil (at least on me) seems to skip the sharpish top pineapple note altogether and head straight to a slightly musky birch with a hint of sweeteness. A very subtle scent, little projection or longevity, but lovely when 'nose-to-skin' nonetheless.

I think I made a mistake here... I ordered this thinking it was 'notes similar to' Comme des Garcons 2 Man. I thought my 'olfactory memory' had gone askew, as I remember CdeG2 Man as an incense and wood potion. This is 'notes similar to' Comme des Garcons 2, which I have never owned. It is a great scent, though more unisex and slighly more floral and aldehydic* than I would choose. Can't give it less than 4 stars though as it's a quality fragrance.

I do not have a bottle of TF to do a comparison, but this is a good, not-too-synthetic leather with a touch of herby/thyme in there just to add a little 'dirt' and savoury to the scent. It is fairly 'simple' in as much as there's no great mix of scents battling it out here. I like this alot as it is, but could work well layered with something un-complex and sweet.

Although I have not smelled Kilian's Incense Oud, this does smell expensive. The incense is extremely light/subtle - certainly not the main note, which surprised me. Definately getting the rose and cardamom, but just a little oud - the higher, 'thinner' oud rather than the more heady, 'syrupy' type, if that makes sense?! A classy frag for him or her, but not as 'incensy' as I had hoped.

I have to say, this is VERY accurate! I have managed to buy a few miniatures of Kenzo L'Elephant for my wife and we did a 'side-by-side' comparison... Very convincing!
