From memory, to me this smells identical to the original formulation, I hear the newer versions are heavier on the vanilla.

I have to say side by side I don't think this is that similar to the Creed Royal Oud original, this is much more heavy on the citrus and doesn't seem to have the same woody spicyness to it........however I much prefer this to the original and considering the original is around 195 for 100ml EDP there is only one choice to make in my mind. I'd much rather spend £100 plus on a fragrance that smelled like this than the real deal, true "connoisseurs" probably won't agree though

I owned a bottle of A*Men a few years ago from memory this is identical and has the same sillage and lasting power. Spot on

Great lasting power, as mentioned before this is 95% like the original, no mistaking what its based on. Great interpretation

Although slightly more synthetic smelling than the Killian original, it dries down very similar. A classic oud and rose combo done very well and smells like many other £100 plus bottles of rose/oud combos I've smelled.

Agree with what most have said here, a bit too much vanilla and not enough tobacco compared to the original, although I personally I prefer that, an amazing scent

I've never smelled the original M7(2002) although I have smelled the Oud Absolu, which is apparently inferior. I can say this smells better than the reformulation although obviously can't compare to the original M7. Overall this is an amazing fragrance and I can see why the original is classed as a standard bearing in oud based fragrances if this is anything to go by.
